Vinyl is available in the club shop, has been for ages, but not in the matt finish. Be interesting to see where that guy got his vinyl from, or maybe sort out a club supply option - I'm sure we could sort out a massive group buy.

I've sent the guy/gal a message to get in touch with Ade and see if they can sort something out as regards to the club. Fingers crossed. :thumb:

This is the company that makes the vinyl,

Hexis (UK) Ltd
Unit 70, Britannia Way, Britannia Enterprise Park
Lichfield
Staffordshire
WS14 9UY
01543411221

www.hexis.co.uk

when I spoke to someone there they said they do all shades of colour intextured vinyl, so should be able to get the two different shades. ( grey and blue grey).

Hopefully Ade has time to sort this out then everybody who needs vinyl will be sorted.

You can get Blackboard Vinyl that's very similar to the OE stuff from The Vinyl Corporation HERE (http://www.thevinylcorporation.co.uk/products/vinyl-products/other-products/)

Comes 610mm wide and is £12 per 1m length.

It is thicker than the original vinyl but once gently heated it becomes very supple and easy to work with.

Comparison of the OE (left) and Blackboard vinyl (right).

My mates used it on his Mk2 Astra GTE, looks top stuff.

I've emailed the ebay seller and will contact Hexis shortly - interestingly we did approach them a while ago (Roseanne did) but they said they didnt have any stock of matt grey - the ones they did have were far too light.

Blackboard vinyl is okay but the surface is pretty rough and it'll collect dirt much faster...(imo)

When I contacted the eBay seller bout the vinyl he said Hexis had to use a custom mix for the vinyl, ( one layer for texture and one colour ).

Maybe why they said they didn't do it.
