alternator wiring

:) alright i have just fitted a 1.0 engine in my nova i was just wondering if anyone knows what wires run to the alternator and starter

going to the alternator should be a live from the battery, and alternator signal going to the dash, which is earthed to charge the battery (but its done via the dash)

starter should be a live and earth going from the battery, and red/black wire going to the ignition

So, red wire off the battery positive, to the alternator, and off the same post, down to the startor, then theres a small wire that measures the voltage, this goes on the opposite pin to the diode thing!

Then as jon said, a black and red wire goes to the selonoid, to fire the starter in!
