A chap at work has one and has this squeal coming from under the inlet manifold by the altenator end? Now we have take the aux belt off and its still there. We think its not from under the cam belt? and goes when revved up? pain in the **** lol

take the cover off and look, could be the tensioner/pulleys

edit: didnt read it correctly, but if it goes when revved up then the cambelt could be slack/tight

If its a roller/tensioner get it changed like now.... lol

i think thats basically the next step tbh it sounds like its coming from under the inlet manifold that area like an air leak though??

i had the same problem with my mates Mr2, one of the tensioners is about to go twang

That or water pump. My water pump died making a funny noise lol
