1.6 bottom end

would my sr top end straight fit to a nova gsi/gte 1.6 bottom end and if so would it be worth doing as i dont want to fit a complete 1.6 engine as want to remain on standard sr carb set up

I think it would raise the compression ratio something stupid. You could run a 1600 bottom end and head and the 1400 cambox for fuel pump and a Kent ast cam with the slot drive for the dizzy.

Speak to steve mate, im sure his breeze blue sr had a 1.6 bottom end? Cant remember to be honest

Different dizzy drive mate, and it wont have the lobe for the fuel pump.

hmmm maybe should stick with getting more power from the 1.4

It sounds more complecated than it is mate, if your going to run dcoes then you could use an electric pump and retain the gsi cambox.

i was just thinking of changing it over when i have engine out to have bay painted if it was just a straight swap as funds are tight at the sec
