yes, this happened with mine. like cambridge said give your clocks a tap and it may come unstuck. Does it read full when the ignition is off

it could be a rusty or corroded connection on the sender

check them first

dididash will only fix the problem if it is something wrong with the guage, i suspect faulty wiring on the sender.

you need to clean the terminals on the sender by removing the wires, use a splash of malt vineagr (u have on ur chips) and wipe clean

use a little emery pap er to clean finally.

to take out the clocks have a look on:
nova-land.com > How To Guides > Interior > Digidash Guides

both mk1 and mk2 are there and they detail removing the clocks.

If you do find that it is on the bottom of your tank (like mine is 1.3 SR) make sure you don't have much fuel left, cos when my mate removed his, he watched ?30 pour into the drain...doh

I would also go to great lengths to fix it if poss, cos they are over ?40 from the garage :o

When i put the ignition on it goes straight to full? Does that sound like the clocks or the sender. It is always registering full????

sender, wire or connector problem.

take the battery leads off, and see if the needle goes down, that eliminates a clock problem

for the third or 4th time:

its the sender, go look under the back of the car at the rear of the tank, u should se 2 wiresfixed to a round plate

make sure they are both connected properly and clean em up a bit
