as title, can you get 'uprated' speaker that are a direct replacement, ie twist in like the standard items, or some kind of adapter kit to suit new speakers? cheers, sean

ok, upon searching have found out that they are 10cm, but how do you fit the into the dash, as to me it looks like the standard speaker plastic twist in surroung is part of the speaker, do you have to cut that of and attach your new speakers to that?

4"/10cm is the standard speaker size

I put some Kenwood 4" speakers in the back of my Nova to fill the space

There a lot clearer than the original speakers but not as loud

Just bosh some replacements in, as said 10cm/4" size. Its quite a shallow size though so you can't really put much in there

Cannot remember quite how deep they are but alpine now come with little clip adaptors in them so that they clip in just like the originals, used some in a vw transporter the other day, sound really good!
