if i buy some twin 40s for my 1.4 sr nova what bits will i need to fit them. i already no inlet manifold and alternator lowering bracket what else:thumb:

You'l need to make the arm that the alternator bolts to longer, and you'l need to rig up a vac advance as IIRC only genuine nova sport webers have the vac take off on them. :) hope this is some help mate.

you will need to mod your throtle cable if you set up is like sports. you could also try bret as he fitted some to his sr not long ago hope this helps

may benfit from using a different head as the 1.4 have gammy ports. maybe a 1.3 or mpi head?

no real need for the vac advance imho. Most of the t40'd cars I've seen/driven dont have it setup and they work 100% fine.

ya just drive it and keep advancing it until it feels right. most old vaux vacuums dont even work anyway.

Find a irmy (or aftermarket inlet) before you change the head, the 1.4 head is poo as said.

John H gave up with his 1.6 on 40s because he couldnt find a round port inlet.
