Suprised you bought it considering the shocking paint on the rear quarter, gaps look to close etc and can see the peel in the paint.

Its had the dash apart already and had loads of random ****e removed which was pointlessly fitted.
I've dropped the boost rightttttttt down to 0.5 for now until i can suss out the boost controller etc as it experienced a few boost spikes when driven hard. I also need to sort out the limter as its still limted when reaching 120.
Few little niggles with it but nothing major bar this boosting problem, But a remap will solve this. Running it on low boost will protect the engine from nastyness. Granted its dropped performance but its safe until im 100% its setup properly.
Security has all been sorted out it just needs booking in for a cambelt and balance belt change, walbro 255 pump, new plugs, a decat and a map.
It should see a healthy power/torque fig. I just need to see if i can lower the weight a bit without causeing any comfort problems
Its not being painted, I wanted to get back to driving again. Even with the boost at 0.5 its a million times better than the impreza, far more agressive well posed and setup. It just needs a bit of TLC and some bits and bobs sorting but thats just me... most people wold just smoke it without a care in the world.
Some one on the MLR will point you in the right direction at having the limiter removed chap.
Get yourself subscrided up to Wastegate Chatter mag aswell whilst your there, real good read :thumb:

Looks ace, i would be frightened to drive it lol not going to be cheep to keep though like the impreza.

Rexy - Speak to Matt at the Racing Line in Halifax. They specialise in Evo's and he has years of experience. I take my car there and so do all my mates. Recently mapped a friend of a friends Pulsar and it made just over 500hp. He's also done stroked Evo's that have made well over 700hp. They also offer loads of parts like manifolds etc. He will set the car up (set actuator and controller etc) for under £100 which is a diagnostic run. Think he can do full re-maps for around £600 depending on what the vehicle is. Its also likely that he will have loads of maps that he has saved that he can either flash onto your ECU or write to chip (not sure which EVO's use) which will save you having to get a full re-map. Cant recommend them enough!

Very nice motor. The 5 is by far the best looking. I would love one but the cost of upkeep is to much for my wee pockets. Enjoy :)
Cheers boyos, Im alreayd a paid up member on the MLR and they dont know about the wiring for this speedM8 thing, Ive had the dash apart and think ive sussed it now.
there is a NW rolling road At the racing line and ive booked it on the rollers for the 29th just to see how the car is running and what is needed, im glad you said that tbh as i hate tuning companies. some are just full of fluff lol.
The scooby had no real enjoyment factor, it was boring yeah the costs are more but this will be my last toy before i get to about 30 and have to worry about kids, houses etc blah blah blah.

Nice buy, better than what you had before (the Scoob), which IMO are possibly the worst cars ever made.
