Heres a snippet of a conversation ive just had with one...
You are about to be connected to a new connection sales adviser for Vodafone UK. Please note they do not have access to existing customer details and cannot process orders or upgrades. If you have a query of this nature please contact customer services.

Kim: Hello, you're chatting with Kim, one of Vodafone's online sales specialists. May I take your name please?

You: i hav a problem buying a contract online via the vida site

You: Michael is my name

Kim: What error message its showing?
You: it wont accept my card
You: as in my card when i go to the payment screen
Kim: Which card are you having?
You: confused.com? im buying a phone, not buying a card
You: your site doesnt accept my Visa debit card
Kim: its very simply

You: i know it is, its a simple problem i have with your site
Kim: I will help you to place the order with your card..
Kim: No worries....:)
You: im currently on screen 2, payment details

Kim: Please enter all details exactly matching your debit/credit card details....
You: so, ive entered my visa card number an all my details already
Kim: You name and address should match
You: one step ahead of you ;)
You: i know this...
Kim: Brilliant
You: now, when i click proceed to confirm order ill copy an paste what happens next...
You: im now on Review & Confirm screen, which is all groovy an all BUT.....
You: i click place order AND....
You: Sorry, we can't process your payment using the card details you've given us. Please check your card and enter the details again. If there's still a problem, you could try using a different card to pay for your order.
You: would you look at that ehh....
