do they fit up the same on late type XE's?
may sound a tard but i really dont know lol
does the dispak bolt up the same? differences from the GM to the cos head, is the coscast one just not prone to going porous?
help pleeeease :)

Coscast heads can still go porous, there is just less chance.

some may not have the two studs which the dis bracket bolts too on the end of the head !

Just don't pay stupid money, people go mad for them when they are worth a wa*k. So tool paid me £250 for mine..

Get the porus mod done on a gm head and its just as good as any coscast head !!!

i have thought of this.. was just going to send my head off to motorcast for everything to be changed and reset, but was told the coscast head can cope with more power? or is that a load of bull?

absolute load of bull ****, im trying to build a massive power let and im on a gm head mate :thumb:

how do you go about gettin the non porous mod done, ie who does it, how much to get it done.

I remember seeing some info a while a back that gave the tensile strength of all the different variants of heads that were cast throughout the XE and LET production life. I remember some of the GM ones from KS in Germany were crap. The early coscasts were a much better casting.

i personally would use a gm head over a coscast especially an early one, id never use an early coscast if can help it
