If I put a digidash in my derv will the rev counter work??

My car will rev to 6500rpm now anyway so will not look stupid red lineing at 7000prm

I want to fit a Digidash and am sure its doable, if you don't know the answer then don't reply!!

I assume by the above, he means a derv rev counter won't work in a non derv car, so id guess not as the signal must be different? don't see why the ecu signal would be different though?

Afaik the derv rev counter signal wont run a digi dash, not 100% though as i dont actually know anyone who has tried it, might be worth a try if noone else has though!

Had a digidash in one of my novavans years ago rev counter didnt read correct ,Maybe you could get something to change signal or summat:thumb:

I am sure I read on here you can buy something to change the singal, you can get them for your v6s as well so the rev counter still reads!
Didn't know if anyone new any more about it and what it is called?

It must be possible, I have seen them in V6 corsas, so a Nova derv can't be that hard !

V6 would be easy, as iirc you would down the signal to do it.

On a TD its a whole different story as the rev signal is from the alternator, Not the coil like on petrol cars.
