Good song but not enough for me to make it number one for xmas. I watch x factor but I dont vote and I dont buy the music. As much as I like the x factor thats the one thing I hate about it. Its ruined the tradition of the xmas number one where the songs used to actually be about xmas and snow and stuff!

If it was the winners own song/written FOR the winner then prehaps they might get a little respect/kudos.. but as its just a karaoke version of Hannah Montannnnnas song (which was probably a cover anyway), then the winner deserves NO respect as a singer etc as they are just a puppet.

Rage is beating it in most places for downloads though, it was ahead by 10-20% beginning of the week in overall sales. CD is gonna be a big hit for crap factor, but if enough people get on board before sunday I reckon rage could do it, they're the current bookies favourite too, although that might just be a smart move to pull in people to bet on the eventual 2nd lol

live version is indeed awesome, listened to it earlier, it's a tad too dirty at the start but they do realise and tone down the distortion a bit in the middle if you listen carefully, pretty cool to hear zack just as good years later and tom rocking out an even better solo than the original too!

if you knew rage, none... they don't really use it at all, read an interview that mentioned them laughing at other bands turning up with more computers than nasa, they have used stuff like $20 walmart guitars and allen keys to get the right sound they were looking for. Tom Morello is a bit of a weird sounds genius, could probably make a guitar sing the national anthem if he wanted, and I mean the words lol

edit: just tried to find out what song he used the allen key on, but apparently what I just typed is crap, first result is a video of him explaning his way through one song with more electronics than nasa lol I guess they changed a lot in their later music, they would have started when electronics was fairly new I guess.
