urgent! - tyre pressures - 205 / 40 / 17's

Help someone told me they should be at 29, but I checked them and have done 800 miles on them at 44! Where should they be, because it can't be good for the tyres to have too much in them. Cheers

Why not do it by eye?

let some out until the sidewall is looking sorry for itself, then pump them up until it sorts itself out. See what you get.....

couldnt tell you why

think i read it in the nova manual somewhere and used it ever since

the maximum PSi on my wheels has always been 44PSi so id be careful and check to see what your max is!
