erm... something is majorly wrong with my C14SE build...

hello folks, ive just stumbled upon something which is going to make me want to die. ive just got my 1400 engine in and bolted to my F10 box, and started to rebuild, first things first, starter motor, couldnt just go right. tried to fit the original starter motor and then realised that it wont fit because the gearbox bell housing is a different shape to the crankcase, AND, im not sure even if it did fit in, i dont think the starter gear is going to engage the flywheel. i am so not happy. Can anyone help? please... :confused:

Fit a proper gearbox and post in the right section.

f13 would be the correct gearbox for the 14se, and iirc the f13 has a different bellhousing to the f10? So may be your problem

the thing with that is, im going to have the new box pretty soon, would it be worth putting the ARB and all the ball joints back on just for a quick blip...? that sounds like such an uber-stupid thing to say now ive written it..!
