I need some pics of internal rear brake lines please! Specifically, where they come through the boot floor and the connections on the rear beam.

I'm trying to work out the most efficient way of doing this, using the least amount of connections.

So far I'm thinking of mounting the t-piece on the rear beam as this removes one of the 'bulkhead fittings' through the floor and does away with the brackets on the beam. I'm sure I've seen a pic of this done, but I can't remember whose it was!

Cheers.

That'd be great if you can Martin, cheers.

Been searching for a pic I saw on here recently of a t-piece attached to the rear beam, and I can't find it lol So annoying!

Hi
Sorry for the delay. Worked on car yesterday bleading rear brakes but forgot to take my camera.
Appologies as not so good a picture as car was back in garage so not easy to get any pics.

Single line to the back, then tees off to either side.

Bulkhead 'fitting' to get lines through the shell.

Then under car. (make a better job than me as where the fitting will come through when you drill the hole. As you can see i fooked up!)
Then from the bulkhead fitting straight to caliper

Oops! Is that the fuel tank bracket? lol

Cheers for that. So once it's gone through the floor it's just one line straight to the rear caliper? Doesn't use the original brackets or anything?

Yea oops indead.
Cant remember what braket it is. Good job i dont use it anymore!!

Yes once your through the car its straight to caliper. I use no origonal brackets or hose on beam etc, just one hose from bulkhead fitting to caliper.

Ok cheers, much appreciated Martin.

I'm planning on one bulkhead fitting through the floor and a t-piece like yours but attached to the rear beam, then a line to each rear drum from that.

i used the flexi brake pipe to do mine. instead of the flexi going onto the chassis leg clip i drilled a hole the same size as the copper end on the flexi poked it thru and used the metal clip that holds the front flexi pipe to the inner wing to hold it in place. then used normal copper pipe and fittings.
if that makes any sense:wtf: . goes off to find pics.
