I had all my wisdom teeth taken out about 5 years ago. Also had another 3 teeth removed at the same time :(
Keep to fluids basically a liquid diet and also keep washing your mouth out with salt water, it will help the blood pockets heal better and stop infection.
Hope you feel better soon. :d < appropriate to show teeth :)
If you smoke, don't do it now, I had a tooth out not long ago and was smoking at the time, all it did was irritate the socket and prolonged the pain.

My bro had his wisdom teeth out a few weeks back after his gums swelled up. He said it was painful when they were in and just as painful when it got pulled out. was only a 15 min op to pull them out with an anesthetic in the gums. It will get much better within a week. The Dentist told my bro to take pain killers for the pain, duh, Corsodyl mouthwash to help stop infection and clean the area and salt water every now and again just to help stop infection (as he could only use the mouthwash twice a day).
My mum had her wisdom teeth out a long time ago but hers was a proper op that took about an hour at the hospital. Her gums and cheeks went all bruised and swolen, that was really painful. She could only eat soup and mashed up food for about two weeks.

been there done that.......
Leicester Royal Infirmary......
when I was in the op theatre, a nurse filled in my food order as I wasn't there..... I woke up to toasted sandwiches... then I had cornflakes, followed by a hot stew & some jelly, which was the only thing I ate during my stay....
it hurts like hell.
ps. the poor ******* who had my bed for the next day had curry followed by rhubarb pudding... booking food 24hrs in advance was quite funny really

Ive had all four out.3 in one go and had to go back for the 4th.the last one put up a fight and after 40 mins of tugging he ended up cutting the tooth into 3 pieces to get the f$$ker out.
Why have you had them out? I broke one so had it removed(navy hospital), the little paki guy couldn't do it, but this OZ guy walked in and say" Christ what are you doing? get out the way" i got a knee on the chest and it was out... Legend!
