For those who havnt been reading my project thread i have finally got my nova taxed today after being off the road for 18months!

I know it isnt the best weather but at least it wasnt raining, took some quick pics. please note that the white stickers on the doors are going to be bigger and are only temporary until i get a new drivers door and them painted, other than that the car is pretty much how i want it...

The drive is very erm, bumpy lol very loud and very cold! however, it was just the same when i last drove it an it was fine back then so im sure il get used to it again. for the moment though i need to run the engine in a bit and listen out to any problems and then i can start enjoying the drive more :thumb:

The pics dont really show how much of a 'slut' it really is, looks so out of place on the roads, i love it lol

The splitter isnt as low as ze bimmer so its not too bad, i went over the smallest speed bump before though and the downpipe caught Lol.

AW - i was up early to give it a test, iv got the week off work this week aswell so il be driving it as much as possible. need to enjoy it whilst it isnt raining, could do with getting some heaters working though :wtf:

Thanks for being honest will lol i know alot of people wont like certain things, same with my other or old cars. but im very stubborn and if i like something it doesnt matter what others say Lol, it wont change my mind.

The plan was/is to use it on the b roads, il see how the splitter copes and also the very harsh suspension, might have to adjust a few things. I may even make a second bumper for the nights when i want to rag it.

It's off an old ibiza cupra. years ago alot of novas and other cars used them but they've sort of gone out of fashion now with them being so big Lol. You can buy them brand new still from seat for just £18 :eek:

from what i can remember they were quite popular in the 90s but whatever company made them have stopped, so now are quite rare. i havnt seen another nova about with them on in recent years, and for that reason alone i will be keeping them. hopefully people won't think they're dtms though lol

Too many boring cars all usually in silver clogging up the roads...if this sounds as good as it looks then id much prefer this tearing up our streets!

im going to go down to my local sign maker to see if he can fit the bigger squares on. the reason i have them is because the paint on the passenger door is fcuked in the middle so the squares can hide it Lol. but like i said, i am getting a new door will be painting them both, i think il have them without the squares on though. hopefully get them on and painted this month.

This is the third rebuild of the year and done about 20-30miles, to say im a little scared of revving it is an understatement lol

haha i bet...after i had built mine i drove really slowly but turned out i was running on 2 cylinders...had an air leak and a fuel tank leak so yea wasnt the best outing.

anyway mate its a beautiful car....really makes me want to get mine on the road. Considering putting a dash back in it though

lol bought them off some random geezer in the pissing rain one night, along with some rear lights and steering wheel :thumb:

cheers again for the comments and the carpet is staying in. i had it out last year and it felt too untidy, at least now it feels a little more warmer and looks neater.
