Dogs are better. Much more fun and way more of a companion.
Let's face facts, most cats are selfish cnuts. Yeah they walk themselves etc. but they also leave dead birds in your bed.

However, for the last few years (since lolcats discovery) I find a cat doing anything now seems to amuse me.
Thinking back to my mates old Tom, Tigger. It used to always be under the cars to which he said it was "performing maintenance' lol

well dogs are bigger and stronger than cats, so you do have to be more careful with them. Its not like cats don't hurt humans because they have a more friendly or loyal personality, but because they are too small to do much damage. You wouldn't trust your kids around the slighter larger breeds of cat, for example a tiger or a lion.
You can't 100% trust any dog, or any animal at all, just like you can't 100% rely on a human not to turn on you.

Anyway, dogs are best (as long as its not some stupid aggressive breed). They are more fun, can do loads of cool tricks, and genuinly like you. If you fell down the stairs a dog would probably bark and stay around you, a cat would just fook off to someone elses house to get fed!

Thing is, if you piss a cat off, it will hiss at you, scratch you or maybe look to bite you. the worst it could do would be to give you a nasty scratch, possibly a small puncture wound. Piss a dog off and it will chew your face off. Then poo on your DVD collection.

My dog died a few months ago and I've been begging my mam for another dog, actually begging, the house feels empty without a dog and I feel a bit sad without one after having Jet since I was 8.

Shes going to pick up two cats in the next few days and my mate wants rid of a Husky puppy with blue eyes :cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry: :cry::cry::cry::cry::cry: I'm quite upset by the fact I cant have another dog, I love them to bits.

i know just how you feel my parents didnt want another one, because it is soo bad when they die, but i made a deal, i bought her, gonna pay towards her stuff, walk her and go back to college lol.
i like walking dogs tbh, fun and gets you out.

and if cats were bigger and more powerfull, they would be preying on small children they wouldnt need provoking.

I like all cats, but 90% of them don't really care about any person that isn't giving them food. This is not true of a dog.

My mate has a pretty big cat that you can play fight with etc and it's awesome. Best of both worlds. It genuinely likes people and not just itself and it can take care of itsellf to some extent.

Ideally I would have both. Finding a cat that isn't a cnut is hard work though. lol Also if you have a pet you should want to take care of it, not be happy that you don't need to!

Tough question tbh cannot pick what to choose. I love animals; dogs are cool and some especially when trained can be very smart. They are very loyal, they make you feel loved as they are very dependant on their owner, but they do need more attention i.e walks, grooming, food etc. Having a well mannered dog can be great but the aggresive ones will just frighten people off and could attack someone meaning trouble for the owner.

Cats are just miniature Lions imo which I think is cool. Cats tend to be cleaner due to them doing all their grooming, when they take a dump they can cover their poo, they don't need walks and they can also successfully hunt for food, so if you wanna be lazy sometimes it's all good with a cat (just make sure it has some food in its bowl so it don't pixx off lol). If there is rodent/bug/snake issue around where you live they can be a good means of natural pest control.

Both animals can be very cute so points to each on that aspect.

I like both and I can't decide so... Goat FTW lol

We had a golden Labrador Henry, when I was little, he was ace. Probably the only breed of Dog I like. I got bitten in the face by a collie when I was 4. I dont like dogs with pointed noses.

As for cats, we have some odd oriental thing that back chats & gives everyone lip. , He's a complete headcase.
