does this fit straght in like a nova gte/gsi engine would. or will mods similar to fitting 2.0 need to be done?

im assuming there big block pal so same as any other big block shafts box mounts etc etc

Defo big block chap got one sitting in the yard with an f16 box attached to it. so yeah you will need the same fitting kit as a 2 ltr 8 valve i believe.

explains why not many people fit them. do you have to cut the a hole in the body/bay for the 2l 8v? or just 16v

No need to cut the chassis leg for alternator clearance, mines a very nice fit :thumb:

it was a common mod on early sr's before the seh & xe came out.

the only reason the xe needs the chassis mod is to do with alternator bolts & pulleys.
