I had a clearout the other day. Put some shelves up to display my model cars. Found my Tommi Makinen edition Evo. I have built the whole model, but i chose to build the tarmac spec, which until i was ready to fit the wheels i found no tyres were included, D'oh lol.

Any ideas where i can get some. Wasnt sure if there were any modelling guys on here that might know? I have done the usual google, but not found alot. The model shop the misses bought it from has since shut down.

TIA.

lol just thought, better tell you the scale!

Its 1/24. Item number is 24200-1800. Its a Tamyia kit.

I have searched using the above info but getting naff all back. 4 tyres...thats all i need! Wheels are 21mm in diameter and 12mm wide. Needs to be a low profile, dont want any arch scrubbage lol lol

Have you still got the manual for it? If you have there should be part numbers in there for the tyres.

All the instructions point to the gravel spec. I will re check them though.

EDIT: on the instructions, it has a section called aftermarket service card. 9402312 is tire bag. Hmmm, could this be it?

All the stuff on eBay seems to be R/C stuff.

Aye, was about to say Ebay. There's a shedload of modelling modding parts on there, especially wheels/tyres.

+ rep for building the tarmac spec car. Always more pleasing to the eye with their ride height and rim choice. lol

No it isnt a pi55 take.

I didnt get the LET with a model, it originally was a cosworth engine but i chopped the headcover up and made it the same shape as an XE headcover then made some custom turbo exhaust manifold off a porsche and a custom intake off a honda engine.

excuse sh1tty quality aswell.

and the escort is chopped to pieces at the minute

ive got a seperate box with coilovers and rollcages etc.. and one full of wheels and tyres. dont know what size you need though.

Is it an Escort or Fiesta??

L14MNP
01-01-10, 06:29 PM
Looks more like a mk1 Fiesta too me also.

LOL @ head cover. Stop making up terms Lewi, you'll break the internet / Ae you gay? Destroying a YB lump to make an XE is criminal - even in the scale world. lol

It looks like a Fiesta because its been chopped.

LEWI007
01-01-10, 09:03 PM
Yes i chopped it to try and make a mk1 fiesta but might be hard because of the way the rear lights sit.

Zeus

Not that difficult, just use some terrys chocolate orange box for the lights. I use them for windows.
