What dyall think of them? Are they reserved for cocks or do they surve a purpose?

I used to have M800OVE on my clio 16v and a mate had M80OVE on her williams which was just for a giggle when we both went out.

I've found R3 XYO or R3 XYW

its only £244 and it will Sorta Hide the fact the evo's an R reg lol.

Simle ones that only car peeps would know are the best, make it to easy and every dick gets it and they look poo.

But, if you do a model specific one... your stuck with a plate on that car.

rexy is just a fourm name for every fourm i use lol, so jobs a good un :)

I find the worst ones are the ones that obviously spaced out to say something, but you can't for the life of you figure out what the hell the garbled mess is suppose to be.

Best ones are the unusual names that you can pick up a proper private plate for, knew of someone a while ago through an RC forum that had the last name Kecky, and had K3CKY on a scooby. Pretty similar to the Rexy ones you posted :thumb:

My ex NI was one was a 21st birthday present off my mum, so it means something to me, and stupidly spaced its my initials, but onces that you really have to use your imaginantion are just crap and ones that have about twenty bolts in changing letters are just not worth getting pulled for, but I also think they improve the look of the car in the case of Nick Caro's old car looked alot better with the private plate on instead of just a regular plate

Anyone who knows their cars will know how old it is private plate or not.

IMO most private plates are chavvy as fook. ITs only here in the UK that has them. Waste of £££.

I don't like personalized plates that reference the owner, i.e. people's names etc.

I do like plates that reference the car, IMO they add value to the car as well.

And incorrectly spacing plates or adding screws etc makes you look like a ned.

a guy at work has C6 PEV on his corsa, properly spaces i didn't realise, he showed me a pic of it on his old BMW and he had it saying COPEY surnames Cope. That was mega loads of dodgy spacing and looked good

mine is simple

X 80 MJS

X as it looks cooler than W

i was born in 1980 "80"

MJS are my initials

cant put it on my Evo VI so i borrowed my dad's "FMS4"

nova will have a basic NI plate on to hide the year and the car from the Joey i bought it off

Ben

110% incorrect! In South Africa nearly everycar has a private plate and you can have literally anything you want, also here in Belguim people have them, the yanks use them a lot as well.

I think for something like R3XY it works really well.

I wanted P31 RCE but its £35k

Agreed. I always think that anyone who has B19 DAZ or similar must be trying to brag about either their height/overweightness or their package...it's the sort of thing that I hear from my 7 year olds (which can be forgiven as they are only 7, bless). Any plate that requires a second glance/imagination to work out is a waste of time.

LOL, short but sweet :p

Both the plates I want, one for the Nova and one for the Celica, are available, both at the "cheap" price too. They're both referencing the car as well, but I won't say what they are in case someone buys them lol

i saw C2 OXE on a red mk3 astra gsi on the mig stand at Billing a few years ago, thought it was quiet a nice touch, I'm sure the chavs would prefer R30 TOP though

private plates can be cool if they resemble something unique about the car
But if it says summat like D1K 69 then its a monumental fail.
There used to be a chav wagon round here where a lad (who looked like a right jockey) had his mobile number at the bottom of his plate which read 07kkkkkkkk for sex.Oh dear.

A1 Private Fcuking Reg...

cos everyone without fail asks what a private reg stands for... even if the plate reads something like P3TER, some tit will always ask

L14MNP
29-11-09, 09:32 PM
Got mine for my 21st so I'll always keep it. I have no middle names either, so the last two letters were in reference to the car, or what's wrote on certain engine covers that said car is influenced by.

There's some really crap ones out there, agreed. Some are hillarious. I don't agree that if you have to use your imagination that they are all crap. There's some corkers that read backwards.

Thats actually a very good point!

Yeah this was about 10 years ago i suppose he done it.

Reminds me of my mates uncle, was a lorry driver and got caught drink driving his car, so he cycled 20 miles everyday to work and back and got in his truck and drove allday. He done this for the duration of his ban with no problems, he couldnt see the problem with it when we were dying with laughter, he thought as he took a seperate test for his lorry and car they were different liscences and as he was stopped in the car he just couldnt drive a car.

Still take the piss out of my mate about his inbreed uncle!

L14MNP

There is also an old mk3 cavalier runs about in this area with the plate 14N, must be worth a fortune on a car thats worth less than a £500 if its lucky

In the late 70's:

John Moores (as in Mr Littlewoods Pools and Catalogues and now the new name of Liverpool Polytechnic) had JM1 on his Rolls.

His house keeper had JM2 on her mini 850 automatic.

Mind you she was a battle axe. I called in wearing my scout uniform on Bobajob week (I thought I'd start at the expensive side of town). I was ushered away with a flee in my ear.

Eventually I got John Toshak to let me weed his garden, and Emlyn Hughes to let me mow his lawn.

Niether of them had private plates or house keepers or 8 foot gates.

Well as im sure most of you know my shall came with a private plate on it, previous owner had it on, to me it's not desirable, yes it's been fun owning it, but i would rather not display what might be in the engine bay, and it's money i could add to tuning the car IF it ever sells..

Funny ones are the best, but its when you know that person has way too much money to waste Lol.

I dislike ones that you spend ages trying to understand what it means. initials and year they are born to me look a bit silly and obviously ones with odd spacing and screws placed everywhere look cheap.

Saying that though, i have messed with the spacing a little Lol, but if i ever got stopped for it i wouldnt mind it going back to legally spaced.
