I'm going to start a thread on the corsa, all i have to do is remember to take the photos. I always forget.

Came home monday night and i had a swimming pool in the back of the car, so i ripped out all the carpet, by torchlight. soundproofing was like a sponge, out it came.

Spent another 2 nights taking everything out i won't need again.

Today's job's.

Heat gun off all the sticky horrible stuff, i have a heatgun brand on my hand, got too close.

Cleaned, hoovered and painted.

Then Stupot came round to help put some new suspension on. Cheer's Stu. :thumb:

Got some buckets and harnesses to go back in tomorrow, so hopefully i will get some more pic's.

Right people, i'm bored of the XE now. I need more power. After having the Let in the Nova the XE is pi$$ poor,I don't want to spend a fortune getting the XE to 200bhp ish.

In the past i have had:

Astra Gte 2.0 8v
Astra Gte 2.0 16v
Nova 2.0 16v Turbo

I fancy a V6 in my Corsa, 200bhp should be easily available with a V6, plus i really fancy the burble of a V6. With the Corsa being seriously stripped it should be entertaining to say the least.

Opinions please, i know a few of you have got V6's in there Novas/Corsas.

What are the pro's and con's? Which V6 is best to use, 2.5 3.0 or a 3.2? I'm guessing it won't want to go round corners, i'm used to that, the Nova didn't like them either.

Do it. Most of the V6 corsa stuff is straight out the box. No harder to wire than anything else.

Go on www.ima****inggayandiownacorsaB.com (www.corsasport.co.uk) and search.

rick, the corsa v6 is very easy if the corsa has a big block already in it. you can use any size v6, but its best to run the cali/cav manifold setup, and the loom, and it wires the same as the xe. earlier the better as it wont have a chipped key. it wil run a 3.0 or 3.2 on the 2.5 ecu as it "learns" the engine. you need to trim the bulkhead near the servo, and move the rad forward for space. call chris astley, he sells the mounts cheaply. use your current box and use an early xe flat flywheel and clutch. the exhaust is easy but it needs the mani or the down pipe cutting and welding to miss the rack. ill find some usefull links...

This is Proberly completely irrelevant but my mate of mine who lives very near to me had a red corsa with a v6 wich had lots of extras in the engine bay it sounded completely wicked as a v6 does lol but he also had some sort of £1000 pound exhaust system wich i think sounded just like a Tvr Tuscan! definetly got some looks but what i will say he had a dyno print out of 216bhp my nova c20xe runs 169bhp (it did back then lol) and we were neck and neck no diffrence what so ever on the roads. he beat me by speed! very awsum though! but then again all engines are different depending on their life.

The teddy lives in the engine bay, he says its warm in there. Don't forget i had a Turb Nova, that never liked corners either.

The xe is pants..

Been a busy boy today. After our trip to Scotland, the Egg needed some emergency repairs..

First job was to replace inner and outer CV boots.

Which wouldn't of been too bad, but the CV joint decided it was going to rip itself in half.. All the bearings has fallen out. Maybe thats why it didn't feel too good.

Then decided to put new discs and pads on..

Also put in some Hel braided hoses as well.. Yes they are Pink..

Bit of an update, changed the 3.0 bar FPR to a standard 2.5.

Found a dodgy earth on the fuel rail. It sorted my EML light out for a couple of weeks, it came on when i accelerated. Not all the time though.

Changed the air filter and connecting pipe to the AFM, now the friggin EML light has started to come on again. It's getting on my tits.

Gonna flash the ECU tomorrow and see.

Lots of parts bought.

Whiteline front & rear ARB.

Powerflex bushes. All round.

Gaz coilovers.

Track rod ends.

Gonna try and do some jobs tomorrow.

As some of you know, i had a slight problem on the way home from the NE meet in Scarborough.

Took the box off this morning..

We took it off and found shed loads of metal filings on the inside of it..

Took the clutch off, to find the splined housing, in the center of the clutch had totally eaten itself..

So, it took another 2 hour hunt on a bank holiday to find a clutch.

Just in the middle of putting it back together..

The handling is miles better with the ARB's..

I was in a panic for a box last night, it is my daily. So i bought a F20 . We were convinced it was the diff. It was running a F16

Closer inspection revealed it was the clutch like i said earlier.

So we put the F20 instead.. I can abuse it more now.

How did you make that work or did you only use the friction plate out of the new kit?
