These are as solid as they get, unless you make your own

And tbh, if an XE is ripping apart those, then something else is at fault, not the mounts...theres plenty of people on here running 300bhp+ LET's with no mount issues.

I'd suggest either launching a bit more gently or fit an engine damper to the top to slow the movement down.

thread hijack,

are solid mounts any good for road use or are they to much?

It could be somthing twisted putting more stress on the mounts casing them to fall apart.

On a road car there ok btw, just some extra vibration usualy. Brand new standard ones make a lot of difference though, after all most are 20years plus old.

on a small engined road goin nova id stick to new std ones , the solid ones do make for a harsh ride lol ,

i still need to fit my solid ones to me XE but they can be a **** to get all 3 in , and looks like thats how mine is goin to play :(

well i replaced mine with standard one and a lot of racers put cellaphane on the bottom and fill them with black mastic. makes them a little more solid, works good to

How can you destroy those mounts!!!!???

People run xe's on standard rubber mounts....

Ive got solids on mine, good choice imo!!! If you boot it and then let off, you can feel that the engine/box is not moving at all, everything just feels more "stable" if you get me. The gearstick doesnt move at all either.
Whereas on std's the stick mounts like an inch if you back off the throttle harshly lol

Mine cost £80 from tuning.co.uk, bit of a fcuker to fit, but just like all solid mounts. Yes they make the car vibrate on idle, but apart from that they are fine.

Mines been to...........
Crewe,
Stafford,
Market Drayton

See it has moved this year, just on a trailer & towed.
Did drive it when i went to pick it up from Stafford. Did all of about 600m under its own steam!!!

I'm guessing that:

Crewe is your engine builder
Stafford is Stu
And Market Drayton is SBD/Jenvey (TB place)

:)

And i got another F20 for mine now ;) Hopefully throw it in next weekend.

NO
YES
NO

Crewe - Ade who paints
Stafford - Stu electrics
Market Drayton - engine lifted onto mounts

Glad you got a new gearbox mate.
You gonna get it opened up to make sure its sound before you stick it in?
