Bad earths maybe are they all attached okay?
Have you wired up the eml light?
Was the engine running okay before you installed it?

What shell is it? Did it used to be a SPI? Have you fitted a proper fuel pump

its had new plugs and the leads off my other redtop.

the shell was a 1.2 spin so i think it was a spi and all earths are on ok.

Have you changed the fuel pump or is it still running the standard one?

If so, theres your problem.

You need a mpi pump off a mpi mk3 astra

Unbolt the complete housing out the fuel tank on a mk3 astra(make sure its a mpi car/engine model), and bolt it straight into your nova tank

Have you fitted a mpi metal pump?

i have put a mk3 astra mpi fuel pump in. its not the airflow meter because i have used the airpipe with the afm off my other car which was running fine.

it does rev but when you go to start in 1st gear it kills all power and tries to cut out and mis fires when accelerated hard.
