i've just fitted a webber carb and the air box is now ratteling on the bonnet, will fitting a K+N sort this out or is it just as tall?

It's a 32/34 webber on a 1.4 engine

Cheers

the air box is designed for a pierburg so fitting a k&n for a webber should stop the rattle.

plus getting the carbs set up with k&n should run better

DO NOT BUY A TALL K&N

i THINK they come in two sizes

you MUST MUST MUST buy the shorter one if they do, if they only sell one size

DO NOT BUY

the bolts cause dints in the bonnets.

get yourself a ramair filter like i had on my one. there foam and dont have bolts on the top causing the dents

MUCH better

pancake k&n like mine which is designed for the carb is fine, its longer and thinner, bonnet will shut fine and also this means less chance of carb freeze come winter time. (i ran mine thru winter no probs)

alternatively, you can fit your nomrla nova airbox, with an uprated filter, modify the airbox with several large holes, and youll probly see better gains from it TBH!

the write up in total vauxhall on the 1.6 engines had replacement pannel filters comming out on top I THINK i cant remember, its like the only bloody issue of TV i didnt buy

has anyone actaually got the pages to hand id love a scan of the air filters bit
