GSI Carpets

Does any one know if GSI carpets are different to other models? :roll:

mine is black, or dark grey at least. where as other models are light grey.

I've just searched about carpets in GSi's and everyone seems to think they are the same shade as all other models. my carpet in my nova is black and was taken out of a GSi, why is this Lol?

Possibly someone has dyed it black along the way, im 99% sure they were all grey the same as all other mk2's dude!

EPC doesn't list black carpet at all (aside from boot carpet etc which has been mentioned earlier).

Don't blame you, always thought grey looked odd with all of the other GSi trim being black!

Ive got a blue antibes carpet for my nova, yours looks like a mk1 carpet to me Lee, this would explain as they used varying colours for the carpets in relation to the trim colour!

EPC lists red and blue for the Antibes and dark brown, beige and grey and that's pretty much it for the hatch and saloon, with green thrown in in some Euro models (someone posted a pic of one with the SRi style zipper trim but green).

I had that carpet in a couple of my E reg Nova's, it does differ from the others in that it isnt as thick looking as the MK2 and late MK1 it also looks darker as i dont think it is just the one shade of grey through it.

Thats not black, its grey. Looks to be the same colour as in both my saloons, which is a dark grey colour. Interestingly, my Mk2 hatch had quite a lighter grey carpet.

it maybe grey but out of all the novas iv had and been in they have all had really light grey.

anyway, least i know now that it isnt a GSi carpet so i learn something new everyday :)

GSI carpets are darker grey than standard, and a lot of mk2 have simlar boot carpets, my SX does for a start and my old Merit+

My mates old diamond had a Dark grey carpet, I wanted it... TBH I might actually dye mine

All GSi carpets other than boot arch covers and the bit up the rear seat are the same colour.

The black/grey carpet comes from a MK1.

Yep, that "black" carpet is from a mk1, NOT a GSi

I'll fire up an early version of the EPC at some point as the later one I'm using (2007 ish) only lists grey with no variants.

Found it and fired it up. No black carpet is listed at all. Same colours as I listed before but there are loads and loads of trim codes and chassis break points for grey carpet so it's perfectly possible that there are loads of shades of grey.
