What happens if i change my clocks in my car and the new ones have a lower milage? who needs informing or cant you do it?
On a car the age of a nova i really dont think it matters tbh bud, but if i were you id make a note of the current mileage and the new mileage and you can always tell anyone when needed/selling the actual milage is xxxxx if you get me!

NOTE: Not condoning clocking cars.
I've wound my clocks back to the original mileage of the car so this matches for moting. I suspect this would work for moving them forward.

it wont pass mot with lower milage will it?
Its not hard to correct the milage with nova clocks. I mean REALLY easy with half a brain.

swap the speedo head, the fun bit is if you go from 3 dial to 6 dial you need to change the faceplate as well, which means the needle has to come off and needs resetting on the clocks

it doesnt matter on your mot mate, whatever the millage is on the speedo, is the millage that will be put on your certificate, if you dont take your old mot with you the tester wouldnt know

Its also not ilegal to change the mileage on the dials, as long as your changing it to match the correct mileage. (clocking cars is not ilegal in itself, its the fraud part thats illegal!)
Changing the mileage to make a vehicle appear less used and up the value is the illegal part, you can swap the clocks and leave the milage different to original, you just need to tell potential buyers when selling, but seen as how there cant be many novas left with the original engines id hardly say that matters lol

That's another common misconception. The mileage refers to the car as a whole, not the egine.
If you fit a brand new engine at 100k, the car has still done a 100k, not zero miles.
