started to work on my nova sport (the latest project) last night but the first thing i tried to do ended up in disaster..

couldnt get a bolt out, so plugged the grinder in..almost got through the bolt then the grinder caught and bounced off the bolt, landing on my left hand. the grinder has cut right across the top of my knuckles, one knuckle being fairly bad (cut muscles/cartlidge or whatever it is). was in hospital for a few hours last night getting stitched back up.

i had to be using on of the 'super fine cutting disc's' aswell..lol nice clean cut across the top of my knuckles.

bit of a pain really, didnt get much done to the nova and wont be able to dop much for a few weeks, as my hand is all bandaged up..

dont know what to do with myself, cant even go for a drive in my other nova..lol

My grandad cut some off his fingers with a circular saw in his shed. He was concentrating on the wrong end when he pushed the wood through and put his fingers through as well lol
Anything above the little finger was taken off. And he can still play guitar! My dad stood his fingers up on the draining board to freak my nany out hahahaha

ppe is for girls, or saxo drivers!

I grind in a t shirt, (Baxter grinds naked) if you keep your bits out of the way it's perfectly safe!

However, epic grinder accidents are horrible, bloke in work took a circular saw 3" up his finger into his hand!

I thought I was going to die on the spot!

ppe saved my toes...well, no no it didnt, the steel bar missed the toecaps and got my foot.

i had a piece of box tubing that did just that once. the only problem was that it was the roofframe of an upside down mini digger........

it got behind my toecap & didn't hurt a bit, but i couldn't get my feet out, I got a lad to lever it up with a fence post & i got my feet out.... but not my boots. so i then had to walk across the site in my socks to get the jcb to lift it back up.
