I am havin a misfire on my redtop, it seems to be floodin cylinder no.4 so took it to bits to check valves.
All 8 inlet valves were bent and valve guides damaged, had them replaced and a light skim but it's still doin same thing when finally built it back up last night.
If anyone could shed any light on the problem it would be much appreciated

Had a similar thing recently.

Do you have the dowels in the block to locate the head on? In my case the dowels were missing so the head wasn't aligned properly (thought it would locate OK on the bolts) which meant valves didn't line up with the cutouts in the pistons. Probably made worse by an uprated cam and a well skimmed head.

8 new exhaust valves later and some dowels fitted its fine.
