want to paint my mk1 spoiler, do i need special paints because its not solid?
what paint do i need? and technique?

You dont need a special paint.
Plastic primer might be worth using, so it doesnt flake off after so long.

okay thaks, its an sr one and i remember it bein soft rather than hard plastic =S.

I have a GSi one ill be painting soon.
Ive noticed also that its like a hard rubber, im just going to sand mine down and paint it, its not really going to flake off because its never going to get touched is it.

Hi buddy there is a special paint for rubber spoilers as i know this from my RS Turbo days.My S1 Turbo was soft rubber & i remember the paintshop saying they used plastic/rubber primer on the spoiler to stop it cracking.I'd recommend a trip to your local Paint suppliers.:)

What he says basically lol saves me typing similiar lol
Paint cracked on my spoiler during fitting, then the water got under it and made it worse.
