I've got a CD headunit in my SRi and whenever I go over the smallest groove in the road the CD jumps.

It isn't the headunit as the the CD hardly ever skipped when it was fitted in my corsa.

I think it might have something to do with the angle that the unit sits at in a nova but then again, i'm no expert.

It's doing my nut in. anybody got any ideas?

my clio has the cdplayer mounted at the same angle as the mk2 nova's and it skips from time to time if i hit a bump. cant be helped really they are designed to sit flat.

however, if you have your car lowered etc then the problem is only going to get worse.

I get no probs what soever with mine! It is most likely the fact that the HU doesnt have angle tolerences! In the manual it will tell you the recommended angles of use!

I put a portable CD/Radio/Cassete in the Landy. The CD only worked in car parks.

I gave up and put a personal Sony one in with mini speakers, so I could use the jog proof protection thingy.

if you use the screw at the back of the cage area, and screw it into the head unit you should be ok.

I packed mine with foam just inside and around the edges, never skips now.
