pearoast...cool tractor though!
lee you are becoming a yokel...........
ps. a bloke I know has a grey fergie with a 2.0 maestro TD engine.. if it ran factory revs, it'd do 97mph...... he backed it off to about 30
was posted up a while ago iirc, pretty cool but i prefer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3lmE17Dg23w :d
Massey 135's are still silly money, mainly because they are bomb proof, can still haul shed loads more than they weigh, are a hoot to drive (like a chunky go kart) etc. Not bad for a 55bhp(I think) 2cylinder derv lump :)
When I win the poor tax I'll get a Fastie for commuting in :)

guys nuts, he's on borrowed time if u ask me
for tuneability, the petrol te20 is the king......
the 2.0 engine is the same basic lump as a tr2 sportscar., so cams, heads & webers can be fitted...........
the fastrac is an overrated piece of kit.....the earliest ones were capable of nearer 70, but had toffee gearboxes. Unimog U1600 FTW
my dad drove Allis Chalmers tractors in the fifties & they could do 60 odd mph with a loaded trailer on, but stopping them was almost impossible

Wasnt actually going to use it on the fields, or to pull anything (thats what a Quad trak is for). Its merely to hoon round in like a Hummer killer.

3cylinder irrc!
Good tractors....silly money
135's are silly money for 3 reasons
1. they really do run for ever, i worked for a tractor dealer, i've seen them in terrible states & still driveable..
2. farmers love them for yard scrapers (see above)
3. there is a healthy export market for them (see 1)

stu, i was on about their roadgoing performance.. we had a 220hp one on demo, the gearbox was an electro/pneumatic nightmare, that dumped me on a roundabout with 4 neutrals & had to turn it off to reset it.. when it was running, it took about 5 seconds per change... ok, it was fast for a tractor, but not scania v8 fast, they are car fast up to 90 (as long as the limiter has been turned off)

^^^ Never liked them to be honest! Don't mind them on the road but hitching the 3point is never easy! cant see **** with them! had one a while back with a hi-ab on the back and a wood chipper on the front links.....was good for what it was.....can pick the older ones up for cheap!
Got a few old fergies......t20 ftw!
