Bilstein Yellows :)

other stuff might take the abuse short term but will need replacing more often then the yellows

Bilstein yellow all the way. They can be had for around 100 off eBay second hand, then 30ish a strut for a rebuild by bilstein. Or get 40mm inserts and modify standard struts, but that takes some work...

What type of rally car you doing? Unless its a tarmac car, lowering is not usually a good option as the sump guard takes a battering otherwise.

My road rally car is raised 10 - 20 mm on mk2 escort forest springs to cope with the Derbyshire gravel whites.

Fair play. The best thing I found was to talk to some of the class leaders to find out what they are running and see what they would recommend (they might be running proflex though...), if they recommend lowering then its probably the right thing to do. They might even have some suspension for sale.

You done any before?
