View Full Version : What fuel pump?
Right hoping to get my e16se on twin 40ies just need to know if the gsi pump will be up to the job or will i need another?
Regards Joe
the gsi pump will be way over spec. it is a high pressure jobby... you need an electrical feed pump for a carb which is low pressure, look up facet pumps on the net.
You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to mowgli again. :(
cheers for the help mowgli :thumb:
Im hoping the gsi tank will be correct or will my 1l tank be ok?
would i be able to use the standard Gsi pump if i use a FPR or would it be better to get a low pressure fuel pump?
Low presure fuel pump needed, that or run it off the cam, like 1.2s etc

Fazcet gold top pump. You could use the GSi pump to feed a swirl pot, then use the Facet low pressure pump to push the fuel down to the carbs.

you really need a tank with a feed & a return, so the gsi one will work. does the 1.0 have 2 pipes? its been so long that i can't remember
1.0 ones dont have the return do they?
people have been known to plumb returns into the little breather pipe on the tank
dont think its got a return but i could put one in easy enough.
So a facet low pressure pump is what i need and no regularor?

1 litres don't have a return, i know this because i once got told a funny story
ok people im not worryed about the return i just need to know if i get a facet low pressure pump will i need a FPR aswell?
no, the facet was designed to feed twin carbs, with nothing other than decent fuel lines
