I say **** it.

tbh if you have nothing else to do then sit down and have a beer. I dont see anything wrong with sitting and chilling in the afternoon with a beer in hand! Its not a sign of alcaholism. Alcaholism is a dependance on alcahol, meaning that if you NEED one (do anything for one!) your in trouble!

If your home with nothing to do till the next day then there is nothing wrong with it.

sod it I have had a beer at 7:30am (bearing in mind that I had just come in from work & was about to go to bed! because it was about 11pm for me) and im no alcaholic! Dont drink that often, mainly because i did get in trouble a few years ago (1/2 bottle of Vodka in an hour or so EVERY single day not big ammount I know but it all adds up with the 6 or 7 cans of beer I had every evening. I wasnt dependant on it, but I was close!!), got myself out of it and now I have learned that its not something that I need to get through life that it can be good in moderation.

I think that the current guidelines on "Alcoholism" can be a bit skewed. They say that Alcoholism is all sorts of signs like drinking early or large amounts. Its not, its drinking large amounts all day long every day, its a dependence on the stuff because it takes something you need out of your life out of it. Unfortunately it does large amounts of damage to your body & life at the same time.

Its all a control thing really, if you control it its not a problem if it controls you then it really is.

Sorry for prattling on about this. I know it'll open a bag of worms but this is just my two pence on the matter. :D
