Speaker cable and amps

Got a new head unit and want to run in the wiring for some speakers in my shelf and an amp so i dont have to pull my head of in the future. :lol:

How would i go about doing this? Should i run in some speaker cable for the shelf speakers from my head unit and wire up the amp seperatley? Or just wire up the amp and run the shelf speakers and a sub from that?

What speaker cable would you recommend using?

Would 2.5mm twin and earth be better than the thin crappy stuff you get with your 6X9s?

Upto you if you wanna run them off the amp or not! Depends on the HU and what you want outta your system!

If straight from HU, just use the standard wire with 6x9's if from amp, get same but slightly thinker from somewhere like maplin! Make sure it is good quality speaker cable!
