think you use the mk2 fixings etc and you may have to redrill the holes for the side brackets to line them up correctly.

Im sure someone will back this up lol

You need a mk2 to fit them lol

If you're doing the bumpers are you going the whole hog and doing a front end swap??

Mk2 bumpers will look odd on a mk1 front end IMO.

They don't fit. And it's wrong. And it's naughty. And it's not right. And your car will become worthless. End of! lol

your rally scruteniring (sp?) have stated that your mk1 nova needs mk2 bumpers to compete?

Very strange, considering the nova sport was a mk1 with mk1 bumpers and was a rally car

homologation dates might have something to do with it

Something to do with the exposed front panel on pov spec front standard bumpers? they may be thinking of that?? There's probably some daft regulation somewhere that states the bumper needs to cover the whole of the bottom of the front.

or are you using GTE/SR bumpers already?

by what they said it sounded like they where trying to say they where deeper which made them safer ..but again i cant see it would make much difference

if the car was made as a mk1, then i can't see why it needs altering in any way. a mk2 escort has poxy sharp chrome corner bumpers & they seem fine.

what championship is it for?? if it is for a local motor club, then they are just being picky.. a mk2 nova has completely different spec engines and if the mk1 engine is legal, the bumpers should be

they call it alltrack but its bascially a rally curcuit type run 6 times 2 laps but its a chapionship run throughout northern ireland ... with a few different venuse ... i really cant understand ... i think ill go sr front bump and grill and maybe if funds allow sr rear to .. but im unsure what to do .

is it simply because of the fact you want to run an old car & they prefer new ones??

are you the only nova competing?

Morton

no theres plenty off old cars about .. i think its do with safty as im entering the junior 1.2 .. and opted for the older carb engine which is alound i think the believe sumhow its safer

Morton

no there are around 30 novas in the juniors and 10 ish others in different classes my class is 1 which is a "nova corsa cup" 1.2s only
