mk1 bumper mods for intercooler ,pictures wanted

doing a gte turbo convertion, i was wanting to try and keep it standard looking but i think im going to hav to do some cutting to the front bumper and stuff,looking to see what other people have done when doing a let converions. cheers

pics of mine, cars unfinished but this is how mine will sit when i cut my new bumper up with a tighter fit, had to cut anything sticking out the back of the bumper off to get it to sit flush with the bumper.

did you hav to cut your cross member at all? i also have a chargew cooler its a proper courtney one but it looks to small lol it sits above the gear box. has anyone on here just used a charge cooler instead on a fmic?

the cross member i recessed for the intercooler to sit on and the bumper iron had the middle section cut out from it.

Charge cooler will be smaller as its more efficient. Atop the gearbox would be the best place for it tbh

Still very tight, cut alot of the back on the bumper as well to get it sitting flat without rubbing

Run the charge cooler, no need for a large intercooler unless your going to run more than phase 2.

Mine was very neatly done, The front panel was cut and recessed to do so though.........
