View Full Version : Most eventful day at work lol
tim and mike are going germany today for business. and they are going in the vito van.
this morning we noticed the front tyre had some excessive wear, so they got me to go and get a tyre, no big deal. got there, and they replaced the tyre, and said the track rod end is ****ed and deffo needs rerplacing befor we leave. so i come back, tell tim, he gets it booked into orwell trucks. i follow tims directions and it takes me to the main merc dealership and not the truck place. so i then find that ok. get there, they check it, say that the track rod end is cream crackered. and also the rear spring is proper broken in two!
so we get that sorted, while i wait, i walked to tesco's to get a few bits forthe guys and to get lunch, walk in the cafe and its rammed *sigh*. so i walk across the road and go to
KFC and the que is massive and it took ages like 15 mins to get served. finally sit down, chicken nearly burns my hands off.
then start walking back to the van. and its ready, then i went halfords and b&q and got some more bits and then back to medi plinth.
and after i thought we would never make it, its all ok and they are about to leave

Merc prices are epic anyway, i had my aircon re-gassed, countless number plates and lots of other stuff free, helps when you know the manager.

in essence, took van for repairs, got lost, found it, went to kfc, collected van isn't going to win you a pulitzer prize, now is it???
yesterday was eventful for me... my eldest daughter managed to chase a pidgeon thru the open door of B+M (in the old woolworths) in hinckley and we had to leg it as the bedlam ensued, then my youngest daughter managed to lose the wifes mobile phone, and the stationery shop woman rang us to say they found it, just after she'd(the daughter) had broken the world record for a smacked bottom

then it over heated,
then it was steaming major and paid a garage to find the fault and fix it, the next day he drove to pick me up, and the other wheel bearing went

when i saw the reg i was thought i knew it but then realised it was different lol. this one was white. stripped out back end, lowered and on some gay fox alloys i think
