Which really isnt a good thing!........

Everytime i watch Topgear i want a table like theres on set. So i thought it would be a good idea to make one out of a Nova engine.

Was maybe thinking make a subframe that bolts through where the sump bolts bolt to support the bottom end and another that bolts to the top part of the bottom end to support the glass?

Anyone ever made an engine block furniture before?

Should i just go for it? lol

I have made a full set as seen on top gear out of old nova seats and an engine.

nah, any oil stains can be a make-shift rug lol

Im sure youve probably just hoiked a complete engine fresh from a nova into your front room, job done as you can rest your coffee/stella on it somewhere im sure lol

Mate done the same with a V6, he made a base using bits of box section, then some clear rubber between the engine and the glass. Its very nice.

Gotta be a V block or don't bother IMO.
That or a nice F1 etc. wheel/tyre.

Gotta say its crossed my mind before but ill never make one lol so make a project thread and do it for all to see:) A mate of mine made one using a vxr wheel and it looks really cool!

also had an engine on the back garden of an old house before, mother-in-law cam round and noticed that id covered it in one of her best quilt covers lol

please use any of the 1.0l vauxhall engines. as they would be infinitely better as a table than as a source of motive power
