Gunks crap, hyper clean, jizer are better.

Or even a citrus degreaser. They smell nice too.

is the car a runner?? if so, then get to a garage with a steam cleaner, or just enjoy the glorious weather & nick some in the week

Autoglym engine and machine cleaner isn't too bad, plus it's got a nice little spray nozzle. I used this and then scrubbed parts of the engine down, then hosed it off and finished up with a brief pressure wash to clear the rest out along with all the dirt. Once it was dry, used autoglym rubber and vinyl stuff on the hoses and plastic to make them all black and shiny again!

Gunk works good for me. havent tried the 'eco' gunk stuff tho, its prob just watered down normal gunk.

Comma engine degreaser is good also.

Comma engine degreaser is good also.

My mate used that on his old 1.6 oily mess engine and brought it up very clean!;)
