Anyone got fitting instructions for a plating kit they can scan up for me please??

Short answer, yes, long answer no with a but....


It needs to be strong as is possible, its going to be holding an XE and running on extremely rough ground. Also, is there any sort of way to strengthen the rear strut tops as I can see them being a weak point as well.

If youre going to put more than a 1.2 in a nova then fit the plating kit, as it DOES strengthen the chassis, for the sake of £50 and a bit welding/painting then why not add it!:thumb:

are you running rear coilovers????, if so then yes, the strut tops will need metal adding.

what sort of rough ground?

if youve got a kit then fit it as per drawings. simples. having one is more advantagous than not having one but thats not what the post asked

Cheers lads. Yeah its running Coilovers and the rough ground is sort of similar but not identical to Forrestry roads. Its rough country lanes and possibly a little rougher depending on how I get on first time round.

any cons as to why you wouldnt mate?

ive fitted one for my let nova, thought for the sake of £60 or what ever it was, it would be worth the piece of mind at least.

GOOD stitch welding will keep a decent bay in one piece/place.

if its made from swiss cheese then yeah plate it to give it some strength.
