Iv only got to page one and im allready seeing a lotus esprit turbo, lotus seven type, covin porky or maybe a gen zeemax type

and he had a "model ford chassis outback"

how much did he chop that shell about !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

beetles are one of the few cars that everyone says at some point i'd love one of those...... the original mini, a 911 turbo & the general lee are others...

the problem with a beetle is that there are so many types and models, and then there are the owners clubs.. if you think a vauxhall club is up themselves, they are nothing compared the the vw aircooled lot

this particular beetle with a lexus running gear (and everything else) will manage to upset both the veedub lot & the hot rodders at the same time..

Yeah what they'll never see is he took a rotten beetle and restored it to his own taste and with his own awesome skills and kept it alive

There's going to be purists in all societies, i'm glad PNG is a bit more relaxed and ready to try new stuff. I'f i owned any VW I wouldn't join one of their clubs

a mate has the use of a 1977 camper bus (his neighbour is working out of the country for 2 yrs) and he is having real trouble with getting stuff done on it, because the 'specialists' don't seem to want to upgrade certain bits as they want to keep it original, so i sneak round & sort the electrics etc out without being shopped to the veedubbers

outstanding build that one, the v8 sounds propper grizzly.

it will look bad to the bone and go like stink when its done.
