Noty another insurance complaint before you slate me

check this then.......STUPIDITY I TELL YOU

Adrian Flux - wont insure you until your 19

CIS - Insurance Quote: ?1,900 - ?200 more than i paid for my first year!

Liverpool Victoria - ?948.97 - thats better!
* ALL MODS DECLARED - THE PRICE DID NOT ALTER?

so, how - can liverpool vic insure me for under half?

and how can they give me EXACTLY the same quote for a modified, or unmodified car!?

AND CHRIS CAN YOU BELIVE IT!? had your SR beast a year almost now :o

because declaring your mods with them keeps you legal but they dont charge any more because you wont get any money back for them UNLESS (this is what a liv vic person told me) you have to expressly set the policy up to compensate you for the mods youve made, then you will have to pay more to cover the extra expense for them should you need to make a claim.

if that makes sense

Agree with you there Fester! BUT mods should push up a premium no matter what due to the performance enhancements and also the more appealing to theives value!

if u have engine mods n u tell em they charge u straight away thats wot i was told, for styling festers rite, if sum thievin fcker nicks em u aint gettin em back.

OF COURSE they will charge you straight away!

As for not gettin cash back, that depends on your policy! If all mods are declared but not covered, then no, but if they are covered too, then you will get cash back regardless!

Liverpool Victoria wont even quote me as im not 25.

But ?95 is very very cheap, my old dears insurance is 3 times that.

Jim

Is it suppose to be ?940.97?

I just got a renewel quote from Liverpool Victoria for just under ?500 on my car. 1.6 on Twin Carbs, body kit, Alloys, Susspension, brakes, Interior, everything declared. ?150 accidental damage excess and ?100 theft excess :)

Whilst we're on the subject...

When getting a quote, make sure you ask what the intrest is on monthly payments.

I phoned Adrian Flux, who actually beat my Liverpool Victoria quote, but once you add up the intrest over the 9 monthly payments, it actually worked out more expensive than the Liverpool Victoria quote.

So make sure you all ask about intrest before you agree to go with an insurance company.

Yes the same with me, Flux were ?100 cheaper than CIA but after intrest they worked out ?40 dearer so i paid it in one lump sum.

Thats cause CIS are shit, they used to be allrite for young drivers but now? LMFAO a load of crap, needless to say i manged to get insurance for ?770 with them this year allthoguh i will be changing come renewal time as they are quoting ?900, hows that work with extra no claims and a year older, pmsl

Jim

Will, premiums have probably gone up (like they seem to be every year  ) Check the Excess against your new renewel quote. You might have had ?500excess last year, but only ?100excess this year. If you don't mind paying to have the work done to your car should something happen to it, then ask for a larger excess, as this will reduce your insurance.

Adrian Flux actually gave me a reasonable quote, but I'm going to be sticking with Liverpool Victoria.

You told them this?

Another way to save a huge amount is to say that you dont drive to work on that policy as you get picked up, get quoted for Social and pleasure only, you save a packet.

I work next to a supermarket thats open 24hr's so if i ever had an accident on the way to work would say i was going shopping.
