seen on the nova under the bonnet that both inner wings where they meet the chassis leg are lifted up about 3mm .in thinking of hitting this down and stich welding it. what you,s people think and has any of use had the same problem? cheers

Mk2? they commonly rust under the seamsealer. A good repair would be to tear off all the seamsealer, stitch then rust proof paint/primer, paint then waxoyl.

taking engine out today its a mk1 gte my friend. going to nitromorse under the engine bay to see what its like

you got any pics matey? ive just stitch welded and seam sealed mine so might be able to help

Most have a gap, it depends where? Get some pics.

I think I know what you're talking about, there's a few mm gap between where they meet at the edge. I cleaned all the seam sealer from underneath (screwdriver and grinder with wire wheel) and hammered the seam flat for stitching.
