I saw White snake at the Derby Assembly Rooms... the highlight of the evening was the curry we had after....
I have seen Deep Purple, Def Leppard, Alice Cooper, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and Green Day at the NEC,
Alice Cooper was the best, followed by Lynyrd Skynyrd & Green Day... the leppards were ok, but Deep Purple was SH!T

Oh and Lynyrd Skynyrd ROCK!!!!
the boys were both old & good...it was a laid back gig.. but the bit that made me laugh was when they encored with a 30 minute freebird, my mate Scott had rung his dad & then held up his mobile to share it... I looked round to see a few thousand mobiles held aloft.. it was an almost religious experience

I'm off to Download next year.
Cream are another great 60's band
SQUID, my old mates from Oxford in the early nineties were the greatest rock band in the world ever, for a few months, anyway.. they got a support gig at the jericho tavern going on before (chart stars)Pele (mmmmmmmegolamania was their big hit....) pele's roadies spent so long getting a hammond organ up the stairs & onto the stage that squid had no time for a sound check, anyway, we filled the venue & it was rocking.. then their time was up & we all sodded off downstairs to the bar leaving Pele to play to an empty room... those were the days.
I do like a bit of Cram every now an then
I haven't been to Download since 2005 it's become too commercial and they spread the good bands too thin
