Tidy, be interesting to see what it goes for. In that condition I imagine the reserve will be about £3k

Always liked these, prefer them to the XR2's

I had the chance of one EHT 499W - Think it was when I was 16 but never could get the £900 quid together. It was mint too.

Wonder if it's still on the road 12 years later. I've asked for resto pics and reserve as it is advertised elsewhere.

Thats truly stunning, there was one around here years back but it wasnt in the best of nick and kinda fell to bits when some dozy bint rear ended it in traffic

The lad bought a mk1 fiesta XR2 with the intention of shelling the SS into it, they spent a weekend stripping the supersport and getting it ready to do the engine swap first thing monday morning in some lockup garages near my house, first thing monday morning they went to the lockup to find the engine had been stolen and the supersport burnt out

Great cars, I had a Sport Fiesta 1300cc at 17 in Signal Yellow, then a Superspeed modified Supersport a couple of years later.

The Superspeed was an 1800cc conversion based on the 1600cc Kent block (this was done before Ford did the Mk.1 XR2), running on a pair of downdraught Webers. There wasn't much that could stay with that at the time.

Awesome cars. Shame they never had the XR2 round lights though IMO. They immediately turn a mk1 Fiesta into a bit of a looker lol.

My mate had a sunburst red 1300 Supersport when he passed his test. We didn't respect it then. :(

A guy at my ex work had a black supersport that he was obsessed about! It was really clean and did look awesome when i went to take a look at it! A mate of mine likes these and has just bought a bog standard 1ltr with the intention of dropping a 1.6rs turbo engine in:0 :)

I prefer the round lights too but the sport suits the rectangle ones

My uncle has has his Supersport for about 20 years, and would never part with it.

Real good one too, never had any welding. Probably could do with a coat of paint to freshen it up, but that would spoil it's originality!

He also has 2 mark 1 XR2's and a mark 2 XR2.

ahhh takes me back to my 1st car.. a mk1 1.1l in pheonix vista orange... xjm 673T it was 6 months older than me. Ironically it got written off by a knob in a 1.2 Nova.
The replacement was a Black 1.1 quartz with economy lights. That got written off into a tree... (anyone spot a trend with me and my cars)??

Sounds like fun! Never knew this was ever done to them :-)

Where is this magical scrappy you always speak of cos it certainly aint round here, my mate scoured every scrapyard and left his number at all of them as he had an XR2 which someone batted the mirror off and he couldnt find one for love nor money

The drivers side mirror on the Mk.1 XR2 was remote adjustable, and they are incredibly rare. Standard Mk.1 Fiesta mirrors should be easy enough to find though.
