how can you tell its a carb? because of that doohicky just infront of the dizzy cap?

The 3 bolts on the air filter, the vaccum advance on top of the dizzy, the mechanical fuel pump and the coil. Plus there is lots of wiring and stuff on a spi, fuel pump relay, map sensor, diag plug, all on the blukhead along with a thick load of wiring.
