just wondering if anybody has any pictures of a 1.4 carb engine and a 1.4 single point injection engine as i am a little confused. i have a 1.4 nova luxe and was under the impresion it was a single point i njection but on migweb ive read a thread saying.......

1.8TB off a cavalier
1.6Inlet off a Mk3 astra
1.4SPi injector off a 1400spi nova, mk3 astra, corsa etc.

Does your airbox have two or three bolts ontop?
two=spi
three=carb




and my airbox is big and round and has 3 bolts holding it down so am now not so sure about the engine any help appreciated thanks:thumb:

are you sure mate as someone on here told me the luxe is single point injection so my car is sorta the same as a 1.4 sr? thats assuming it is carb:thumb:

The early Luxe would have had the 1.4 carb engine I think, don't think they had cats until late 92/93, but I could be wrong.

its a h reg and its got no cat< same engine as above but on the block its stamped 14 nz?:confused:

If you have the mechanical fuel pump that I've circled, its a carbed engine, if you don't, its SPI.

nz's spi, nv is carb.
^ dont small engined spi's have the mechanical pump too ?
easiest way of telling sat behind the wheel, has it got a choke cable ? if it has - badab00m its a carb lol actually, that might not apply for the 1.4 as they came with the ploppy auto chokes
