Right all,
Been offered a gm headed xe, it ran really really well last year, but has been sat for 12 months, if i buy it, should I don anything to It?
Its got a new cambelt and tentioners, is there anything to look over?
While its out the car, is there anything I need to change etc??
+1 will be left for nice answers from nice people:thumb:

isn't there a thing with something on the oil pump jamming on xe's that haven't run for a while?
i'm probably completely wrong, but it'll jog a few memories to come up with the right answer lol
take the releif valve out the oil pump and give it a quick clean up make sure its not jammed and moves freely.
put an 8v bonded sump gasket on before it goes in as the cork ones ALWAYS leak.

gen gm water pump dont settly for copys
"Thinks, ill leave the pump alone then"
If they fail, its gonna be 16 bent valves and broken engine bits though:cry: lol
Ahh well, is it really worth all the fuss with a throw away £200 engine?lol
